Distribution of CoralHue™ Fluorescent Protein Resources

With the generosity of Medical & Biological Laboratories Co., Ltd. (MBL), 88 items of CoralHue™ fluorescent protein resources were deposited to RIKEN BioResource Research Center (RIKEN BRC). On September 28, 2020, we will start distributing these resources as they are ready to be shipped. For details of each resource, please refer the attached table. These resources will be distributed to not-for-profit academic research conducted by universities and national/public research institutions at normal fees without license fee to MBL. In addition, we will distribute these resources to commercial entities and to for-profit-use at non-profit organizations after these users obtain an approval from MBL in advance.

These resources include large numbers of functional fluorescent protein resources developed by Dr. Atsushi Miyawaki Laboratory, RIKEN Center for Brain Science, such as (1) fluorescent proteins with various wavelength characteristics, (2) photoconversion type that changes color by light irradiation, and (3) photochromism type that can control light emission and extinction and can be used for super-resolution imaging. There are also a series of resources that can visualize various subcellular locations.

We are looking forward to receiving many requests for these resources from you.

Terms and Conditions for Distribution:

In publishing the research results obtained by use of the BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE, citations of literature designated by the DEPOSITOR or an acknowledgment to the DEPOSITOR is requested.
A RECIPIENT who belongs to a non-profit organization may use the BIOLOGICAL RESOURCE for an academic research that is non-commercial.
The RECIPIENT who belongs to commercial organization should obtain written approval from the DEPOSITOR prior to MTA.

Distribution fee per clone (as of April 1st, 2023):
JPY 9,460 (For use in research for not-for-profit academic purpose).
JPY 18,920 (For use in research for-profit-research purpose).

The cost of shipping containers, dry ice (if required) and freight will be charged separately. These are not included in the fee.
