– Suspension of operation at RIKEN BioResource Center (BRC) for three
days in this summer, from August 22 to August 24, 2011
=======================================================
To cooperate with the sever shortage of electricity supply expected in this summer due to the Eastern Japan Disaster, RIKEN will close its all campuses and facilities for three days, from Monday, August 22 to Wednesday, August 24 (RIKEN’s response to the Tohoku Pacific Offshore Earthquake).
During the period, RIKEN BRC will also suspend its all operation, including shipments of bioresources and responses to the orders and inquiries.
All operation at RIKEN BRC will be conducted normally until Friday, August 19 and from Thursday, August 25.

This suspension may cause some inconvenience to our users. We sincerely ask you for your understanding and cooperation.

– Newly deposited genetic materials
=======================================================
These genetic materials have been newly deposited to RIKEN BRC. We appreciate depositors for their contributions to the scientific community.
Dr. Kato, Mitsuyasu, University Of Tsukuba
Dr. Kawase, Shido, UNITIKA.LTD.
Dr. Seiki, Motoharu , The Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo
Dr. Hayashi, Shigeo, Research Promotion Division, RIKEN Kobe Institute
Dr. Sasaki, Hiroshi, Kumamoto University, Institute of Molecular Embryology and Genetics
Dr. Sakamaki, Kazuhiro, Kyoto University
(Sorted by date of deposition)

Among these deposition, Dr. Sasaki deposited a series of expression and reporter plasmids of Gli genes.

The newly deposited genetic materials are indicated at the following site.

After receiving order form, we send cloned DNAs on the Wednesday after next.
Please allow us two weeks for preparation of cloned DNAs. Digestion patterns and terminal nucleotide sequences of cloned DNA are checked prior to delivery.
One microgram of cloned DNAs are sent in TE buffer.

Deposition of genetic materials for the RIKEN BioResource Center frees researchers from time consuming preparation and distribution of materials to fellow researchers.
Your deposition of genetic resources to RIKEN BRC Gene Engineering Division is most appreciated. If you have a plasmid to deposit, please examine and agree to the Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) for Deposition (see below).
