High-Quality, High-Yield Plasmid Supply Service “Ready to Use Maxi”

   The Gene Engineering Division (RIKEN DNA Bank) has launched a new service providing high-quality plasmids purified using the QIAGEN Plasmid Plus Maxi Kit. No preparation is required—experiments such as transfection for cells can be started immediately upon arrival.

Highlights of Ready to Use Maxi

Reliable Quality	Full-length sequence verification for each lot using HTS (High-Throughput Sequencing) Endotoxin-reduced purification allowing direct use in cultured cells
Sufficient yield	50 µg provided (estimated from OD values) If preparation from a single kit yields less than 50 µg, the entire amount obtained will be provided.
Selectable Solvent	Choose from TE Buffer / 10 mM Tris-Cl (pH 8.5) / Nuclease-free water

• Shipping and packaging costs for the resources will be charged.

• For expression vectors carrying mammalian cDNA generated using the “Gateway® Technology”, a license-equivalent fee (2,090 JPY per plasmid) will be added. For use by commercial institutions, a separate agreement with Life Technologies is required.
