{"id":8762,"date":"2025-05-05T09:05:16","date_gmt":"2025-05-05T00:05:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dna.brc.riken.jp\/en\/?page_id=8762"},"modified":"2025-05-05T09:06:06","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T00:06:06","slug":"gnphumen","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/dna.brc.riken.jp\/en\/clonedcdnaen\/gnphumen","title":{"rendered":"Genome Network Project Human cDNA Clones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- js calling begin --><code><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/js\/functions_list.js\"><\/script><\/code><!-- js calling end --><\/p>\n<h2>Genome Network Project Human cDNA Clone<\/h2>\n<p>The RIKEN BioResource Research Center (BRC) is distributing copies of full-length human cDNA clones, produced and organized through the MEXT Genome Network Project to academia under its distribution policy.<br \/>\nThere are two types of cDNA clone collections.<br \/>\n1) <u>Human Full-Length cDNA clones<\/u><br \/>\nApproximately 30,000 clones corresponding to 60% of all human genes (14,000 genes) produced and organized by Dr. Sumio Sugano of the University of Tokyo and Dr. Yoshihide Hayashizaki of RIKEN OSC.<br \/>\n2) <u>Human Gateway&reg; Entry clones<\/u><br \/>\nApproximately 50,000 clones corresponding to 6,300 genes produced by cloning PCR-amplified open reading frame (ORF) fragments from the human full-length cDNA clones and studied through the government-supported MEXT Genome Network Project. DNA fragments cloned into Gateway&reg; entry clones can be transferred into one or more destination vectors simultaneously using Gateway&reg; technology. The Gateway&reg; Entry clones include clones made from cDNA created by the Research Association for Biotechnology (RAB) under the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) Full-length Human cDNA Sequencing Project.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dnaconda.riken.jp\/images\/gnp_500.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dnaconda.riken.jp\/images\/cyanball.gif\" alt=\"\" align=\"Absmiddle\" border=\"0\" \/>Results of the project attained using the Genome Network Project cDNA clones have appeared in journals including <i>Nature Genetics<\/i>.
