Comment PEP of ComA PEP of S. mutans (strain ATCC No. 700610) was generated by PCR from pSMuP1. The primers used were 5'-ACATATGTATAAGCTAGTACCTCAGATTGATAC-3' (forward) and 5'-AGCTTATACATATGTATATCTCCTTCTTAAAGT-3' (reverse). Reference of genome sequence, GenBank AE014133.
